I am the BREAD of LIFE...
A friend and I were talking today and I shared with her about the Bread of Life so I decided to do my verse about this… John 6:35 Yeshua answered, “I am the bread which is life! Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever trusts in me will never be thirsty. (CJB) There is a very amazing insight about this verse. I learned about it when we lived in Israel. We all know that Jesus was born in Bethlehem. In Hebrew this is knows as Beit Lechem which is House of Bread. Be

Adonai is GOOD...
My mind was drawn to the book of Lamentations today. I’m not sure why because I often think of it as a “depressing” book of the Bible. It is full of “laments.” However, there are some pretty important promises tucked away in there as well. Lamentations 3:25-26 Adonai is good to those waiting for him, to those who are seeking him out. It is good to wait patiently for the saving help of Adonai. (CJB) Adonai is GOOD! I believe I can say AMEN to that. HE IS good…. To those WAITIN

Heart's Decision-Maker...
Today I was looking for a verse about decision making. Interestingly enough it was tied in with the word shalom, and a verse before one I had used previously! I love how God just connects pieces together. Colossians 3:15 and let the shalom which comes from the Messiah be your heart’s decision-maker, for this is why you were called to be part of a single Body. And be thankful —(CJB) We are called to have peace. God wants us to have peace. That peace comes from our Messiah. Whe

Do YOU Know???
I had a couple people tell me that they were struggling a little today. I think many during this time of year grow tired and weary. January, February and even March can be dreary and tiring at times. Today’s verse is a well known one, but always one that strengthens and encourages me. Isaiah 40:28 Haven’t you known, haven’t you heard that the everlasting God, Adonai, the Creator of the ends of the earth, does not grow tired or weary? His understanding cannot be fathomed. (CJB

United with Him...
My verse today came from my YouVersion Bible App again. However, when I read Colossians 2:6, I ended up reading the whole chapter because it was inspiring! There are a couple other verses I will need to use at some point. Colossians 2:6 Therefore, just as you received the Messiah Yeshua as Lord, keep living your life united with him. (CJB) A simple command… Keep living your life UNITED with Him. Make sure that you are connected to Jesus. Walk in the way HE wants you to walk.

I lie down and SLEEP...
Today is Shabbat!!! We have another opportunity to REST and spend time with HIM. I like to find verses about rest on Fridays. Many are in Psalm. Today is no exception. Psalm 3:6 (verse 5 in many translations) I lie down and sleep, then wake up again, because Adonai sustains me. (CJB) This verse does not have the word “rest” in it, but when we stop to think about “I lie down and sleep” this cannot happen without REST. If you read the whole chapter, you quickly understand that

Rejoice in your HOPE...
I love when I find verses that are easy to remember where they are found. Like 33:3 or 10:10. Today when I was looking up verses about patience, this one came up: Romans 12:12 Rejoice in your hope, be patient in your troubles, and continue steadfastly in prayer. (CJB) Three things we NEED to do are found in this verse. 1) REJOICE in your HOPE. 2) Be PATIENT in your troubles. 3) Continue STEADFASTLY in PRAYER. Yesterday we focused on hope and how to find it - because we are bo

A Living HOPE...
The word HOPE came to my mind today when I began to think about a verse. This one from I Peter showed up when I Googled possible verses. I Peter 1:3-4 Praised be God, Father of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah, who, in keeping with his great mercy, has caused us, through the resurrection of Yeshua the Messiah from the dead, to be born again to a living hope, to an inheritance that cannot decay, spoil or fade, kept safe for you in heaven. (CJB) Do you have HOPE? Do you know how to

NOTHING is too hard...
Today’s verse is also a song. I love when I can SING the Word! It makes it so much easier to remember! Jeremiah 32:17 “Adonai, God! You made heaven and earth by your great power and outstretched arm; nothing is too hard for you. (CJB) HIS great POWER created EVERYTHING we see. HIS outstretched arm CREATED YOU. Our God is truly KING over all the earth. We - YOU - can walk in that power because HE created you in HIS IMAGE! Once you begin to understand that, then you can truly B

I will REJOICE...
Yesterday the verse was about finding your talent and trusting God to bring His Spirit as you use that talent for His purposes. A friend contacted me and felt like she had missed her talent. She wondered if she had missed God’s opportunities along the way. My response to her is that sometimes all we need to do is pray. Our purpose can be a simple task. The verse I chose for today expounds on that thought. A friend had sent it to me as encouragement one day. A couple days afte
