Sharing JOY...
Matthew 9:27-31
27 As Yeshua went on from there, two blind men began following him, shouting, “Son of David! Take pity on us!” 28 When he entered the house, the blind men came up, and Yeshua said to them, “Do you believe that I have the power to do this?” They replied, “Yes, sir.” 29 Then he touched their eyes and said, “Let it happen to you according to your trust”; 30 and their sight was restored. Yeshua warned them severely, “See that no one knows about it.” 31 But instead, they went away and talked about him throughout that district.
More blind men healed... Jesus once again ASKED if they BELIEVED He had the power to do this. The men said, "yes."
What I find interesting in this story is that Jesus told them, actually he "warned them severely," that "NO ONE should know what He had done." Jesus gave them instructions. They did not follow it.
I'm sure they were like happy children, running and jumping and full of JOY!
I ponder on this because some would say the men were disobedient to what God had asked them to do. However, all they wanted to do was share the Good News of what had happened. I'm not sure what I truly believe about this scenario.
I don't believe we should go against God's request. However, I also know that we are told to GIVE THANKS and share the GOOD THINGS He has done! They were blind, and now they could see! What would be so wrong about sharing that JOY with others! Is there a time we really just need to "let it be and not share?"
My thoughts to ponder on as I begin this day...
Love and blessings, Rose
