God's Promises are STILL true...

His Promises are STILL true… Genesis 28:15

This morning in our Bible time, this verse stuck out to me. Our family reads through the first five books of the Bible every year. Each time another verse, or chapter, impacts me. This morning it was Genesis 28:15:

Look, I am with you. I will guard you wherever you go, and I will bring you back into this land, because I won’t leave you until I have done what I have promised you.” (CJB)

There are many verses in the Bible about God being with us always. I guess I could Google how many times, but then I would take away the joy of you finding that out!

This verse was written to Jacob as he slept under a starry sky, with a stone for a pillow. God promised Jacob, just like He did to Abraham and Isaac, that He would be with him and give him the land that was promised.

It was clear to Jacob that God would take care of him. Jacob woke up from that sleep knowing that God was with him. He made a vow back to God that,

“If God will be with me and will guard me on this road that I am traveling, giving me bread to eat and clothes to wear, 21 so that I return to my father’s house in peace, then Adonai will be my God;

God took care of Jacob. We know that because of the rest of the story that is in the Bible.

Some might say that this was a promise to Jacob, so how does it apply to me?

Romans 11 tells us that we are grafted in to the root, and that the promises to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob are for everyone who believes in God. To those He calls His own, He grants the promises of the Word.

I want you to believe today that HIS promises are TRUE! Write down events in your life that were answers to the promises of God. When we have TRUTHS to hold on to from our own life, we can always remember that God is in control and that HE will take care of us. He will NEVER leave us or forsake us.

Read it, SPEAK it and claim it for yourself!

Love and blessings,

Rose
