Sorting...

I felt like I needed to write something today. It started last night as I was trying to wind down and sleep. For some reason the word "Trouble" kept popping in my mind. Then I remembered an old song by Rich Mullins. However, today when I log in to write, my last blog was called "Troubled."
I really do not want to write two times in a row about "Trouble." Obviously my spirit is a bit out of sorts? Although I don't feel that way.
So, that's why the word "Sorting" is my title. I'm "sorting" what these thoughts, feelings and emotions are and why I am having them. My brain is doing its best to wrap itself around what is actually "troubling" me.
What I do know is, I am not alone. There is a lot happening in this world that we cannot understand. We do not know why leaders declare war for what seems to be no reason other than, "I don't like you, your people, your country." We cannot grasp why people argue and fight with others. We question why those who say they believe in God lie and cheat. We cannot understand why, when we address these issues with them, they make excuses and walk away and it seems they don't want to change...
People tell me I am too black and white. That I look for "fair" and "justice," and that it won't always happen. So I am "sorting..."
All of this sorting brings me to words from the past. The song, "Bound to Come Some Trouble" by Rich Mullins. May the words of this song bring you HOPE and PEACE today as you "sort" things in your life. May you KNOW that the God of all creation LOVES you and there is no reason to be afraid or ashamed... Reach out to Jesus, He's been there before. The mosaic that He will create from the sorting He does will be beautiful.
Love and blessings friends.
Shabbat Shalom,
Rose
There's bound to come some trouble to your life
But that ain't nothing to be afraid of
There's bound to come some trouble to your life
But that ain't no reason to fear
I know there's bound to come some trouble to your life
But reach out to Jesus, hold on tight
He's been there before and He knows what it's like
You'll find He's there
There's bound to come some tears up in your eyes
That ain't nothing to be ashamed of
I know there's bound to come some tears up in your eyes
That ain't no reason to fear
I know there's bound to come some tears up in your eyes
Reach out to Jesus, hold on tight
He's been there before and He knows what it's like
You'll find He's there
Now, people say maybe things will get better
People say maybe it won't be long
And people say maybe you'll wake up tomorrow
And it'll all be gone
Well I only know that maybes just ain't enough
When you need something to hold on
There's only one thing that's clear
I know there's bound to come some trouble to your life
But that ain't nothing to be afraid of
I know there's bound to come some tears up in your eyes
That ain't no reason to fear
I know there's bound to come some trouble to your life
Reach out to Jesus, hold on tight
He's been there before and He knows what it's like
You'll find He's there
