Mixed Up

I often try to find a word to focus on. My mind has been blank lately, but I felt the need to write. As I am enjoying my morning cup of coffee and sat down to see if anything would come to me, "mixed up" popped in my head.

We live in a mixed up world. We care more for having fun than we do taking care of ourselves and others. We don't stop to think how our words hurt those around us. We don't stop and acknowledge that maybe we are jealous of someone else so we act out. So much happens "in the moment" which is okay, and yet when it causes pain and hurt - maybe we should have stopped to think. Maybe we should have taken the opportunity to process our actions before speaking or doing.

The question we need to ask ourselves is, do we actually LOVE GOD and LOVE OURSELVES? My observation is that more and more people don't think that God loves them. More and more people believe that they have done something so wrong that God hates them.

HOW do we help people know and understand that God hates the SIN and NOT the sinner?

God is LOVE. I have experienced that over and over and I want others to KNOW that and BELIEVE it!

Other people believe that God just loves everyone and everything and because of that, "I'm not special" so they don't know how to love themselves. If they can't love themselves, it is hard to love others...

These concepts are mixing us up. They are putting our minds off of the TRUTH which is, childlike faith is all we need. The teens and 20's are HARD. They always have been, and social media is not helping. The concept of faith like a child is not easy to grasp anymore. Youth grow up too quickly. Kids face things too early that they should not have to face at all.

Mixed up... Without knowing HIS LOVE the world is mixed up...

Father, help us be YOUR LIGHT ad LOVE to those around us. Help us "Love the Lord our God with all our heart, soul and mind. AND, help us love our neighbor as ourselves."

Give us the ability to hear You and know You in Spirit and Truth. Then, when things look all mixed up we can be the flower that pops up to bring a smile. Everything can be swirling around, but YOUR design, Father, is what comes forth. That is why I chose the photo I did... The world may look "mixed up," BUT in the middle of it there are still pockets and places that are filled with His colors and designs.

Love and blessings,

Rose
