Depend On

The prayer that is in this blog today is a favorite of mine from the Shabbat Prayer book. It covers the basic need of dependence on God, and yet acting in a way that YOU can make the difference.

This prayer is exactly what the world needs right now. The world needs people who are fully dependent and trusting a God who cares and loves them, but acting in ways that make a difference.

LOVE those around you. Bring JOY to the hearts of those you see. Stop calling others names and putting them down to make yourself look better. Learn how to find something in other people that you have in common. Then act in those common areas.

PRAY AS IF everything depended on God.

Act as if everything depended on you.

That is the prayer written several times in the Mishkan T'filah prayer book. Page 243 is one of those places.

God knows our hearts. His desire is for us to line our desires with His and then ACT on them. We MUST align with His thoughts and ideas. We need to DEPEND ON Him every single day. We have HOPE and FAITH that HE is in control.

Then, when we ACT, the world can be changed because we are doing so from a place where HE is in the middle of it. Our hearts become one with His and then we make a difference. Trust in the Lord with ALL your heart...

Find a way to make that happen in your world. Small or large, it doesn't mater. Depend on HIM.
