Look at the Heart

Isaiah 1:4

“Oh, sinful nation,

a people weighed down by iniquity,

descendants of evildoers,

immoral children!

They have abandoned Adonai,

spurned the Holy One of Isra’el,

turned their backs on him! (CJB)

Ah, sinful nation,

a people laden with iniquity,

offspring of evildoers,

children who deal corruptly!

They have forsaken the Lord,

they have despised the Holy One of Israel,

they are utterly estranged. (ESV)

Corruption - it is happening in our world. There is no denying that what we are watching unfold is people weighed down with hearts that are not following Adonai. We have looked at the outsides of people for too long. We look for "polished" and leaders who "have it all together." These leaders are now taking us down paths of destruction.

To be honest - I have a feeling that many people today would not recognize a King David if he was in front of them as a shepherd boy. David was not a "polished leader" as a shepherd boy, and yet God chose him. And when David sinned, but REPENTED, God continued to use him.

What does God look at? The heart...

It is time to ask Him to show you the hearts of people. Find those who want to love others and have kindness within, not those who do it for show. We need to take care of the people who are walking humbly behind the scenes and don't care about making a difference. We need to find the people who are repentant and honest about wrong choices. Those are the people Jesus found. Those people then made a difference in their communities.

In the midst of all the sin that is corrupting the world, stop and be the difference in those around you. Love on those in front of you. Make a difference in your community. Take care of someone that many don't think is worth it. Look for the people that have a heart like His.

Let's move from corruption to His heart...

Love and blessings,

Rose
