Burn

I've been reading a book and it is thought provoking. A quote at the beginning of one of the chapters says, "What is to give light must endure the burning." Viktor Frankl

We are told to be light to those around us. We are told that light dispels the darkness. "This little light of mine, I'm going to let it shine." It is engrained in everyone who has been in church.

This is not easy to do, and the quote above makes that clear. In order to give light we have to burn.

The burning hurts. This is why so many give up and stop. They don't want to try and they don't want to put in the effort.

Life isn't easy. So many think that when they choose LIFE that the challenges and difficulties will go away. Life doesn't allow for that. It is learning to burn through the pain and suffering and choosing to be a LIGHT in the middle of it all.

I'm thankful that there are people who remind me of what it means to be a LIGHT in the middle of the burning.

Today remember that when the burning begins, HE is with you. HIS promise is that the burn will not harm you. The burn will simply allow you to be the LIGHT HE wants you to be.

Isaiah 43:2

When you pass through water, I will be with you;

when you pass through rivers, they will not overwhelm you;

when you walk through fire, you will not be scorched —

the flame will not burn you.

Shabbat Shalom friends - BURN for HIM today,

Rose
