Be BRAVE and COURAGEOUS...

Prayer. Persist. Don’t give up… All words that have been swirling in my head for several days. Today is yet another verse with the same idea…

John 16:33

“I have said these things to you so that, united with me, you may have shalom. In the world, you have tsuris. But be brave! I have conquered the world!” (CJB)

The first item to address is the word “tsuris.” This means, “trouble.” Jesus was telling His disciples that they will face trouble. Life will not be easy all the time.

What does He want us to do? UNITE with Him. He wants us CLOSE to Him.

The next instruction is to, “be BRAVE!” To me this would mean to STAND STRONG!

We can do this because we know HE has CONQUERED the world. HE is KING over ALL the universe. Because we know this, we can be BRAVE and move forward with HIS strength guiding us.

The Passion Translation says this:

And everything I’ve taught you is so that the peace which is in me will be in you and will give you great confidence as you rest in me. For in this unbelieving world you will experience trouble and sorrows, but you must be courageous, for I have conquered the world!” (TPT)

This one just takes the whole verse to a new level. PEACE. It will be IN us. This PEACE will give us GREAT CONFIDENCE.

This translation says, “you MUST be courageous.” Jesus, I believe, was making sure His disciples don’t give up. He clearly says that HE has CONQUERED!

How much of this do you BELIEVE? How much of this do you hold in your heart? Are you ready to BE BRAVE? Are you COURAGEOUS?

Let HIS Words strengthen you and UNITE you to Him. Let HIS WORDS brings peace.

Don’t let the troubles bring you down. MOVE FORWARD!

Love and blessings,

Rose
