He has the NOW

Matthew 26:1-5

When Yeshua had finished speaking, he said to his talmidim (disciples/students), 2 “As you know, Pesach (Passover) is two days away, and the Son of Man will be handed over to be nailed to the execution-stake.”

3 Then the head cohanim (priests) and the elders of the people gathered in the palace of Kayafa (Caiaphas) the cohen hagadol (high priest). 4 They made plans to arrest Yeshua surreptitiously and have him put to death; 5 but they said, “Not during the festival, or the people will riot.”

Passover... Jesus knew He was to be handed over. He had tried to explain this to the disciples, but I can only imagine that they probably did not truly understand what He was saying.

The religious leaders of the day wanted to arrest Jesus. They were secretly plotting to put Him away. But, they knew that if anything happened during Passover people would riot. God had His plan in place, which meant it DID need to happen during Passover.

Surprisingly, what happened was, people rioted anyway. People who had just been cheering for Jesus, chose a robber/murderer over Jesus. This is how quickly things can change. People are "for you," than suddenly "against you."

As you begin to study Hebrew understanding of the Bible, you will realize that Jesus needed to die as our Passover Lamb. He needed to be the One Who took ALL our sins and nailed them on the cross.

God truly knows what is best. God really does have a way of making what HE wants to happen come to pass. It may not always be in our timing of things, and sometimes we circle the mountain over and over (the Hebrew children did this for 40 years), but He will work His way in us.

Today, as you look to the craziness of the future, take TODAY and walk in it. My new motto is, "Make plans for tomorrow, but don't worry about it. God will give you what you need for the NOW."

Love and blessings,

Rose
