Beginnings

In a world that feels like the chaos is leading to closure and endings, there are still beginnings.

This week a friend shared that her father had passed away. The wars raging in areas around the world also make it feel like some kind of end is near. Constant changes in life sometimes feel overwhelming and you just want them to end. And yet... those changes can bring beginnings that are good.

My friend found hope and peace in the midst of her grief. A new beginning that brought peace to a tough situation.

My life has been filled with many beginnings, sometimes tough ones I didn't really want to experience, but God brought me through them. There are more beginnings to experience this year!

My "baby" graduated. People ask, "How does it feel?" I was so ready for this one to be done... Highschool was not the easiest for her, but the growth that happened her senior year was the start of a new beginning for her. She's off to begin planning for her dream... baking.

My oldest has decided to move and is 10 hours away. He is currently working at the camp and helping re-roof houses, and then will continue with an internship at the organization. A new beginning for him and the rest of us as we can't just hop in a car and go see him for the day anymore.

My married daughter and husband have plans in the works that will be a new beginning for them. And it will change life for them and the rest of us. It's fun to hear how this is coming together.

My middle daughter is also looking at new beginnings and deciding what that looks like for her. She is currently 10 hours away with her brother and helping roof houses. Not sure yet how things will look, but there will be some fresh starts coming and I'm excited to see how they play out because she is so much fun.

To say this mom is proud is an understatement. My kids know what it is like to "not fit" and feel as if life is filled with struggle. And yet... they know the joys of helping others and making a difference in the lives of those around them and making others smile.

What do all of these beginnings mean for me? Honestly, not sure yet. My life seems to be filled with last minute changes and I have a feeling the next one will be the same way. It will hit and I will know. His strength will be what I rely on as I process all that is happening. His strength when I am weak and unsure. Keeping my faith in HIM will be my foundation when it happens.

Beginnings... in the midst of the pain and heartache, look for the beginnings. Find a way to believe and HOPE that something will change. Keep trusting that HE is in control and knows the plan and perfectly executes it. HE is the beginning...

Take time today to give HIM your worries. Give HIM the questions and the doubts. Tell HIM that you know HE is in control and then wait as HE brings new beginnings to you. Keep the HOPE.

Love and blessings -

Rose
