On ground that is level...
Today I was not sure what verse to do yet, but this verse showed up on my YouVersion Bible App as the verse of the day. I love when HE speaks to me in just a short, simple way...
Psalm 143:10
Teach me to do your will,
because you are my God;
Let your good Spirit guide me
on ground that is level. (CJB)
The verse itself is pretty straight forward and contains many promises like the rest of the Word. The last line struck me…
“On ground that is level.” Why did I like this?
So much in life seems unsteady, sandy and just constantly shifting. We are supposed to build our house on the Rock and not shifting sand, but it todays day it seems something is always changing.
I realized, with this verse, that IF I am doing HIS will, BELIEVE that HE is MY God, and let HIS Spirit GUIDE me…
The ground will be level! HE is my ROCK. HIS WORD is NOT CHANGING. It will NOT shift.
With Him by my side… my ground will be level.
I read this verse in the Passion Translation also…
I just want to obey all you ask of me.
So teach me, Lord, for you are my God.
Your gracious Spirit is all I need, so lead me on good paths
that are pleasing to you, my one and only God! (TPT)
The first line in this one says, “I just want to OBEY ALL You ask of me…”
Teach me yes, but WANTING to obey… A challenge for all of us to think about. Do we want to be taught? Do we want to obey? Do we want to do HIS will?
This short little verse has a lot for us to ponder on…
