I will write it on their hearts...

Our Torah portion this week is all about the instructions that God began to give the Hebrew children. The portion from the prophets is from Jeremiah and it connects because it speaks about the covenant being “written on their hearts.” This verse from Jeremiah 31:32 is what I chose for today.

“For this is the covenant I will make with the house of Isra’el after those days,” says Adonai: “I will put my Torah within them and write it on their hearts; I will be their God, and they will be my people. (CJB)

God’s heart is truly to have a relationship with people. He wants everyone to understand that HE is with them and wants to be IN them.

Torah is HIS instructions. He blessed His people with a covenant. His desire is for ALL of those instructions to be “written on their hearts.”

He wants HIS Words to be IN them. As we understand HIM more and more, HE becomes part of us. As we study the Word more and more, HE truly becomes IN us. HIS Word is hidden in our hearts!

Why? So that we won’t “sin against Him.”

Why? So that “greater is He that is in us is greater than he that is in the world.”

His Words truly work together for our good. He truly wants to be our God and for us to be His.

The covenant HE made with the house of Israel - you were grafted into. Claim HIS Promise today and let HIM write it on your heart.

Love and blessings,

Rose
