Put your HOPE in Adonai...

Today’s verse is one I “bookmarked” a long time ago on my Bible App. It most likely was on a day I was struggling and finding life challenging. A verse like this is a PROMISE that if we choose HOPE, God is there.

Here is Psalm 27:14

Put your hope in Adonai, be strong,

and let your heart take courage!

Yes, put your hope in Adonai! (CJB)

This is a pretty direct and straightforward. Not much messing around.

Be Strong. Put your HOPE. Take COURAGE. Put your HOPE.

Repetitive with the word HOPE. Repetition is a key when one is reading a verse.

I chose to read it out loud in The Passion Translation too…

Here’s what I’ve learned through it all:

Don’t give up; don’t be impatient;

be entwined as one with the Lord.

Be brave and courageous, and never lose hope.

Yes, keep on waiting—for he will never disappoint you! (TPT)

A bit longer, it brings a new light to what having HOPE and courage is.

Don’t give up!

Don’t be impatient!

I like this part - “be entwined as ONE with the Lord.” How amazing and incredible to think that we can be ONE with Him.

The last line is kind of an addition, but in this case a positive one. KEEP ON WAITING, for HE will NEVER disappoint you. How amazing is that!

I think this is a STRONG verse. One that should be written down and used over and over to bring us encouragement, and remind us that we need to have HOPE in HIM. No one else. Just HIM!

People will fail us. HE won’t.

Where is your hope? I HOPE you can say with strength and courage that it is IN HIM!

Love and blessings,

Rose
