Time...
Esther 4:14
For if you fail to speak up now, relief and deliverance will come to the Jews from a different direction; but you and your father’s family will perish. Who knows whether you didn’t come into your royal position precisely for such a time as this.”
Ecclesiastes 3:11
He has made everything suited to its time; also, he has given human beings an awareness of eternity; but in such a way that they can’t fully comprehend, from beginning to end, the things God does.
Time and clocks kept creeping up on me this past week. We had to change a clock out at work because the batteries died. A clock on an appliance at home had to have the time corrected because it was two minutes behind. The clock in my vehicle is about 15 minutes behind and we haven't been able to change the minutes on it ever since it was fixed.
Time messes with us... We often think we have so much time and then all of a sudden the due date or season is upon us. Getting up in the morning we keep hitting snooze because we don't want to face the day. We put off leaving a fun moment or activity because we want to savor the time as long as we can.
Life is crazy and it isn't fun to deal with. In the day and age we live in we literally have to schedule time to rest. And when we do make time, we find that it takes us so long to unwind that we struggle.
Maybe it's just me... Maybe it's just something I'm facing, but I don't think so.
Friends, more and more we must find time and a way to rest. Restore ourselves to who HE wants us to be. Without that, we will struggle. Eternity is forever, but our time here on earth is not. We must strive every day to "love the Lord our God with all our heart..." and "love our neighbor as ourselves."
Without an understanding of HIM and the ability to completely relax in HIS Presence, we cannot share that LOVE with others.
Take TIME today to stop. Let TIME stand still for a bit and let things go.
Love and blessings,
Rose
