Be Willing and Be Healed

Matthew 8:1-4

After Yeshua had come down from the hill, large crowds followed him. 2 Then a man afflicted with tzara‘at (leprosy) came, kneeled down in front of him and said, “Sir, if you are willing, you can make me clean.” 3 Yeshua reached out his hand, touched him and said, “I am willing! Be cleansed!” And at once he was cleansed from his tzara‘at. 4 Then Yeshua said to him, “See that you tell no one; but as a testimony to the people, go and let the cohen (priest) examine you, and offer the sacrifice that Moshe commanded.”

Are you willing? Are you willing to fight the large crowds and kneel in front of Jesus? Are you willing to ask HIM to make you clean? Are you willing to LISTEN and OBEY what He requires of you?

The man in this situation was WILLING. Jesus saw his heart. Jesus responded willingly Himself. However, Jesus made it clear that there was something the man needed to do. The man was required to: tell no one except go to the priest, and he must offer the sacrifice.

God does require certain things of us. He requires us to listen and obey. We should do it willingly.

Today, as we enter another Shabbat, find yourself WILLING to what is required. Find yourself in a place that is at peace because you have LISTENED and OBEYED.

Shabbat Shalom,

Rose
